Ah yes, Admissions Officers. The one’s who hold the keys to your future. Just remember that they are people too. They have lives, they get frustrated, they get sad, they get happy. Their jobs are to get the most people to apply to their school as they can. Evaluate each applicant individually. Admit a “better” class than the last one.
If you keep that in mind it should make your correspondence with them easier. I actually had that statement in one of my notebooks. When I would send an email to an admissions officer I would always think about what their objectives were and then try to formulate my email that it fit with one of their objectives. The responses that I usually got definitely answered my question but I could also tell that they were veiled.
